Howdy Inc.

mindofsmoothie:

Just a little over 15 hours left until the Howdy Radio Finale :(

As we come closer to the final presentation of Howdy Inc.’s: Howdy Radio, I must say that I am going to miss our little broadcast. Howdy Radio has had a good run, and I am proud to have been able to be part of the fun for these…

The Final Howdy Radio

Tomorrow night we will be putting an end to #HowdyRadio, the longest running project in Howdy Inc. history.

At 10PM EST we will be getting on the Howdy Inc. Ustream Channel one last time to celebrate and say goodbye to the best webshow that we have ever produced.

It’s an idea that we have been kicking around for a little while now over at the Forum. We are all very proud of the work we have put into the show but it’s time to move on. What exactly we are going to move on to is a question that we have not yet answered though. At this point we have no plans to start up a new show. We have had way too many technical problems with the show since we brought it back in January of this year. Too many computers have been kicked, too many files have not saved correctly and we just don’t have the time and the effort to put into any longer. Putting on a show like this is a massive chore every two weeks. At this point “real life” is going to win because none of us have the time to continue to dedicate to keep it going.

But, we want to go out with a bang. We are trying to get as many cast members from past and present to join us and to make it the best live streamed party that we are able to.

Everybody at Howdy Inc. would like to give a huge thanks to all of our friends and fans who have followed the show over years, through the ups and downs. This final show is our big thank you to all of you.

Who knows what we might do next, but a part of me is worried that this could be it. But, as always check out HowdyInc.com, Tumblr, the Forum, and Twitter for the latest news.

Thank you all very much.

Howdy Radio the 13th

Unfortunately we won’t be able to release a download for this past Friday’s episode of Howdy Radio the 13th. The video did not save properly, there was no audio, and therefor we are unable to release an audio or video version of it. I guess we were just asking for another Spinal Tap moment by doing our 13th episode on Friday the 13th. Sorry guys.

However tonight we will finally be doing a new episode of Square2. We’ve taken the last couple weeks off due to other things going on but we’ll get back into the swing of things tonight. As always, live on Ustream at 9PM EST.

Happy Friday the 13th everybody!
So thanks to Smoothie for pointing out to us this morning that not only is today Friday the 13th, but it is also the 13th episode of Howdy Radio! So we’re going to have to celebrate this (un)lucky event big tonight at 10PM EST live on Ustream.
Yet another episode of Howdy Radio that you do not want to miss.

TOMORROW NIGHT!

The #HowdyRadio crew returns to Ustream to rock the follow up episode to the 10th Episode Extravaganza!

We’ve got A TON of free copies of The Humble Bundle that we are going to be giving away, and we’re going to pour one out for Flav’s Fried Chicken.

You don’t want to miss this one!

10PM EST on the Howdy Inc. Ustream Channel.

The Humble Frozenbyte Bundle

Here at Howdy Inc. we are very big fans and supporters of The Humble Bundles. If you are not familiar with what they are I’ll try to bring you up to speed as easily as possible. Basically these guys release packs of very cool independently developed PC/Mac/Linux games every so often. All of the games are cross platform (let’s face it there arene’t many cool games that can be playing on a Mac or Linux computer), they are all DRM Free, they work with some very awesome charities, they usually let you add your games to Steam, and they actually let you pick how much you want to pay for the bundle.

Howdy Inc. has decided to buy quite a few extra copies of the bundle this time around and to click the little box that says “Yes, send me a giftable code.”

Our plan is to give away quite a few copies to our faithful listeners of Howdy Radio and Square2 on their next episodes. All you need to do is tune in and we’ll give you the details of how you can win a copy. We could not think of a better promotion than this. We get to help out a very cool product, some very cool charities and hook our faithful friends up with some really cool games just for watching the shows.

We will be giving away copies on the following episodes:

  • Square 2 -  Sunday April 24th at 9PM EST
  • Howdy Radio - Friday April 29th at 10PM EST

As always both shows can be viewed live at howdyinc.com/ustream

Please take some time to check out The Humble Bundle though. Yes, we do have a lot of free ones to give away but not nearly enough for everybody. You might want to play it safe and go ahead and pick up your own copy. Then if you are lucky enough to win one then you can just give that copy to one of your friends!

Visit these links for some very awesome information:

Make sure you tune into the shows, we can’t wait to give these away!

If you could please take an extra second and reblog this so that we can get the word out it would be greatly appreciated.

Well we got a little behind on this week’s project of showing off all of our host’s studios. So it may take a little more than a week to get through them all. But hey, it’s still cool to see where we all make the magic happen.

So now we’ve got Kyle’s set up. He just put together this new rig last night so it’s still all nice and fresh and shinny. Pretty awesome!

As we said last night on Square2 each day this week we are going to cover a different host of Howdy Inc. shows and what their studios look like and what kind of equipment they are using.
First up is Brandon’s studio.

Howdy Radio - 03.18.2011

We at Howdy Inc. can not stress enough how amazing last night’s Howdy Radio went. Almost zero technical problems, and just an all around great and fun show. Brandon, Smoothie, Kyle and Liz hosted this time around, and Dave and Dorothy dropped in for a few minutes later on in the show. The show was most certainly more controlled with less people than the last show, but it was by far just as entertaining, if not more so than past episodes.

We had a lot of people drop by and watch us on Ustream, and it was our largest audience yet. It just shows you that the word of Howdy Radio is finally spreading again!

The audio version of the show is ready to download on iTunes and in the Howdy Radio download section on the site.

If you want to watch the video, and let’s be honest you do want to watch it instead of just listening, you can just head to the Videos section on the site and watch the YouTube stream of it.

Just an FYI, from here out we will not be uploading the video versions of shows to our server. We will just be putting them on YouTube and Ustream. We feel that it’s much easier for the fans to just click and stream something rather than having to download it themselves, especially with how large the files sizes are now.

One more time, thank you to everybody who is joining in on the fun and making the show as awesome as it is. Thank you all!
